Sources of Information

The main sources of information are as follows:

• The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints  International Genealogical Index (IGI) on CD-ROM available at their local Family History centers.
• Non-conformist and Anglican church registers.
• The Family Bible
• The 1841, 1851, 1861. 1871, and 1881 census data.
• The St. Catharine's House Births Marriages and Deaths Index
• Wills.

A large amount of information has been accumulated and is stored in a data base. Look-ups  can be undertaken for the following items

• All the SACH data in the UK IGI including marriages (up to 1997 addendum).
• Any name in the LDS UK Vital Records CD-ROMS
• Any name in the 1881 Census on CD-ROM
• The following Church parish records all up to approximately 1800, all on microfiche:
•     St Peter Ad Vincula,Coggeshall
•     St Mary and All saints, Rivenhall
•     Holy Trinity,  Bradwell juxta Coggeshall
•     St Margarets,  Marks Hall
•     St Mary the Virgin,  Pattiswick
•     All Saints,  Cressing
•     All Saints,  Stisted
