Sources of Information

The main sources of information are as follows:
- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints International Genealogical Index
(IGI) on CD-ROM available at their local Family History centers.
- Non-conformist and Anglican church registers.
- The Family Bible
- The 1841, 1851, 1861. 1871, and 1881 census data.
- The St. Catharine's House Births Marriages and Deaths Index
- Wills.
A large amount of information has been accumulated and is stored in a data base.
Look-ups can be undertaken for the following items
- All the SACH data in the UK IGI including marriages (up to 1997 addendum).
- Any name in the LDS UK Vital Records CD-ROMS
- Any name in the 1881 Census on CD-ROM
- The following Church parish records all up to approximately 1800, all on microfiche:

- St Mary and All saints, Rivenhall
- Holy Trinity, Bradwell juxta Coggeshall
- St Margarets, Marks Hall
- St Mary the Virgin, Pattiswick
- All Saints, Cressing
- All Saints, Stisted
